DESCRIPTION

Inspired by tropical rains rolling in over the sea, the Monsoon Ceramic Travel Bowl features a glossy glaze where soft white gives way to sweeping shades of blue.

The colour can shift from pale celadon and misty blue through to deeper streaks and flowing runs, so every bowl captures the movement of a storm a little differently.

Designed for meal prep, lunches, leftovers and picnics, each Travel Bowl comes with a white 100% silicone lid to help keep your food secure while you are on the move. Its stackable shape also makes storing multiple bowls simple and space-efficient.

Choose the Small Travel Bowl for breakfast, snacks and lighter meals, or the Large Travel Bowl for salads, pasta and more generous servings.

Each Monsoon Travel Bowl is handmade and one of a kind, with natural variations in glaze, colour and markings that make every piece unique.

It is extremely cute

It looks better in person. The photos don’t give justice on the hues and colour this bowl has in the light. I have owned my bowl for the past two years and its a staple in my routine. I am thinking of buying a third bowl.

Raving Beautiful

Initially only wanted to order a reusable coffee cup as a gift for a colleague (whose one got stolen. I know, right?).

But when my eyes landed on the travel bowls, I was smitten. It was love at first sight. I love them so much I bought not one, but two!

People have complimented how beautiful my bowl is, especially when I take my Sxy Lime to my poké bowl place and colleagues at work as well.

Actually, I am about to purchase two more as gifts, before the Christmas rush.

Thank you so much for your lovely review Minx. We are so happy you love them and they really are the perfect present!

Absolutely LOVED the bowl! Not microwave safe :(

Absolutely loved the is bowl in both sizes. Perfect for salads. Unfortunately broke the first time I microwaved it (1 min) so I’m pretty devastated.

Hi Amber

Thank you for your feedback on the Merlin Ceramic Travel Bowl. We're glad to hear that you loved using the bowl in both sizes. We're sorry to hear that it broke the first time you microwaved it, if it breaks on first use there may have been an invisible hairline fracture. Please email us at hello@potteryfortheplanet.com so we can arrange a replacement. We appologies for the inconvenience and will keep an eye out for your email.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should I choose?

The Small Bowl (360ml) suits breakfast bowls, chia puddings, dips, and smaller meals. The Large Bowl (750ml) is better for salads, pasta, rice dishes, ramen, and bigger lunches. If you are using it mainly at a desk or for a standard work lunch, the Large is the more versatile pick. If you are after something for snacks, dips, or a lighter meal, the Small works well.

Does the bowl come with a lid?

Yes, every Travel Bowl comes with a 100% silicone lid. The lid is sealable so you can transport meals without worrying about spills and store leftovers in the fridge between uses. It is not fully airtight, so keep the bowl upright during transport for very liquid-heavy meals. Replacement lids are available separately in the Accessories collection in Small and Large sizes.

Will my bowl look exactly like the photo?

No two bowls are identical. Each one is shaped, glazed, and fired by hand, so the glaze colour, markings, and depth on your bowl will be similar to what is pictured but will have its own natural variation. Specifications are also approximate for the same reason. That is what makes each piece genuinely one of a kind.

Can I use it in the microwave or dishwasher?

The ceramic bowl is microwave safe. Remove the silicone lid before microwaving, and start with shorter intervals as the ceramic retains heat and can get very hot. Both the bowl and lid are dishwasher safe, though hand washing will help preserve the glaze over time.

Can I store food in the fridge with the lid on?

Yes. The silicone lid creates a good seal for fridge storage, making the Travel Bowl useful for meal prep and leftovers as well as transport. The bowl goes straight from the fridge to the table. It is not fully airtight, so very liquid-heavy contents are best kept upright.
