Handmade Reusable Ceramic Cup

These reusable stoneware coffee cups are perfect for drinks on the go. Or remove the lid and add a little colour into your home collection.

For this special Cup, Renton worked with his Dad, Steve Bishopric, channeling his Kiwi heritage to create the signature design. Native to New Zealand the silver fern is easily recognisable by the striking silver-white colour on the underside of its fronds. Making it a must-have for those who want to rep their Kiwi identity.

All cups are handmade using a unique water carving technique and real ferns. Making each piece unique! You will receive a cup similar to the cups pictured but there are no two the same. Variations in size, colour and markings is what makes them unique!

Pottery For The Planet Cups are made of ceramic and must be handled with care. Ceramic will crack if knocked or dropped. Comes with black 100% silicone lid.

Specifications are approximate because although we do our best to keep things uniform being handmade you can expect variations in size, weight, shape, texture, pattern and volume. Pottery For The Planet Cups are designed to fit into most cup holders in cars and prams.

An absolute delight!

I bought the set of four 6oz cups and a keep cup in the ‘Lost in New York’ glaze, and I absolutely love them. They are charming and timeless, and perfect for cozy winter mornings. I have also received a ton of compliments on my keep cup, which I now carry with me everywhere!

Poor quality glazing

I was so disappointed to see the cracks/scratches on the glaze of my spicy cup. My neighbour who is a pottery teacher said that whoever made it has used glaze that didn’t fit the clay body resulting in the cracks. It’s poor quality for the price. I contacted the Pottery for the Planet team and didn’t get a response so I’m quite upset with my purchase. See the green part in my photos.

Hi Cass,
The lines you’re seeing in the glaze on your cup are due to something called glaze crazing, which is completely normal for this type of glaze. There’s no need to worry as the crazing isn’t the same as cracking and it won’t affect the function, strength, or hygiene of your cup. It’s also perfectly normal for the crazing to develop a little more over time. Glaze crazing happens when the glaze and the clay body shrink at slightly different rates during firing, creating that lovely crackled or eggshell-like effect. The amount of crazing can vary depending on how thick the glaze was applied, so you might notice that not all cups have the same amount of crazing — some might not have any at all!
As per the discussions over email with you, we are working to find a solution which best suits you.

Love at first feel

This mug is the most gorgeous thing I’ve seen in a box, the texture is smooth and gorgeous. You will not regret ordering one 🥰 I would love it if they made a bigger one 😊
